How to Dispute Charges on the Cash App
Ways to protect yourself from scammers
Cash App scammers know the tricks to swindle you, but the good news is that you can protect yourself. Changing your password is a good start. Choose a strong passphrase that is different from other passwords you use for other websites. Also, try to keep your passwords unique across multiple accounts and save them in a password manager.
Never send money to anyone you do not know. Always double check the person’s name and email address. Make sure you have their permission first before transferring money to them. If the sender is a stranger, set up multi-factor authentication, which will make it harder for the sender to get access to your account. Always avoid using public wifi, and disable auto-login. Also, never give a stranger your phone number. If you receive a mysterious amount of money, report it to the appropriate authorities.
Scammers often pose as customer support representatives to lure unsuspecting users. These scammers will get you to share your personal details, and they’ll disappear with your money. Always be suspicious of strangers on Cash App and use this app only with trusted people.
Another scam is fake payment notifications. This scam involves a fraudster buying an item from a seller and paying for it with your Cash App account. They will then send you an email saying that they have received money from you, but your account doesn’t have any money. They will also ask you to “refund” the money.
How to dispute a charge on Cash App

There are several steps to follow to successfully dispute a charge. The first step is to select the Activity tab on your Cash App home screen. Next, select the particular transaction you want to dispute. Then, click the ellipses icon.
After you’ve disputed the charge, you can get your money back from the merchant. The refund request will be sent to the merchant, and they’ll have seven days to accept the refund.
